Elderly Man Drowns At Senior Living Complex

An elderly man has died in what police suspect a fatal drowning. According to police, the elderly man was found dead in a pond at a senior living complex in Downers Grove, a suburb of Chicago. At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Monday morning, a passerby discovered the unidentified man in a retention pond on the senior living complex property. According to the Deputy Chief, the pond is located near a popular walking trail in the Oak Trace townhome development. Emergency responders were called to 250 Village Drive to rescue the man out of the pond, and he was confirmed dead at the scene. According to the DuPage County coroner's office, there were no signs of foul play. The corner was present to try and identify the departed. Police are asking anyone with information to please come forward. The fatal drowning is still under police investigation.
