Missouri Man Killed in ATV Accident

Last week, a Missouri man was killed in an ATV accident. The accident happened in Licking, Missouri on Thursday afternoon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 61-year-old Theodore R. Johnson was operating an all-terrain vehicle, ATV, when he attempted to drive up an embankment. The ATV overturned and Johnson was pinned beneath the vehicle. When emergency crews arrived, they pronounced Johnson dead at the scene of the accident. The patrol is investigating the accident.

Auto accidents occur in various forms including head-on collisions, single-vehicle accidents, truck accidents, SUV rollovers, and ATV accidents to name a few. Each accident is unique in its’ circumstances. However, they share common causes including vehicle design flaws, dangerous roadways, mechanical defects, and driver negligence. Auto accidents can range from minor to devastating and regardless the severity; they can be traumatic. ATVs have a tendency to rollover when involved in an accident due to their higher center of gravity. However, a design flaw could cause them to overturn and cause injury when it could have been prevented. To recover compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and mental anguish, it is important to contact an experienced St. Louis ATV accident attorney.
