Ceiling Fans Recalled for Injury Hazards
Posted By Meyerkord & Meyerkord, LLC
Monte Carlo is recalling their
Cyclone ceiling fans due to an injury hazard. The company reported that the fan blade bracket
can break and cause the blades to fall. This recall affects over 3,000
fans which were sold in the United States and Canada. The two different
models have five blades that are 60 inches wide and weigh around 30 pounds.
The model numbers for the Roman Bronze, 5CY60RB, and the White finish,
5CY60WH, are printed on the motor housing. There have been 10 reports
of the brackets breaking and has received one report of property damage.
The company is alerting customers to stop using the fan and contact the
company directly for a bracket replacement. They also will reimburse consumers
if they hire an electrician to perform the repair.
