A weekend accident in Michigan involving a motorcyclist and a pickup truck left one dead. A Lansing area Motorcyclist was killed this past Saturday morning when he was struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of Waverly and Bishop Roads. The incident occurred on Saturday morning when a 55-year-old from Delta Township was traveling north on Waverly Road. At the same time, a Ford F-150 was traveling west on Bishop Road. The driver of the pickup truck reportedly came to a stop at the intersection's stop sign, but subsequently failed to see the motorcyclist who had the right of way and ended up striking the motorcyclist. Emergency personnel responded to the scene of the accident where the motorcyclist was given CPR. He was later taken to McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup truck reportedly sustained only minor injuries, which were treated at the scene of the accident. The investigation of this accident is ongoing.
