The St. Louis County police department is investigating a pedestrian accident that resulted in the death of the man on Thursday morning. According to authorities, a 17-year-old female was operating her vehicle traveling southbound on Benham Road as she traveled to school. She struck a man near the intersection of Parker Road and Benham Road close to Highway 367 in North County. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and his identity has yet to be released. Police believe the driver was traveling the speed limit and do not expect any citations to be issued. The accident is still under investigation.
