Worker killed in accident in St. Louis shopping center

|

Sadly a workplace accident has taken the life of a maintenance worker at West County Center in Des Peres, Missouri. Furthermore, the 53-year-old man was killed Thursday while using a hydraulic list at his job at the mall. According to police, the unidentified worker somehow became pinned between the rail of the basket of the machine he was riding on, and a low steel overhang in the building. A construction worker later found the man in the parking garage, and he was already dead on the scene by the time paramedics arrived.

In an unrelated accident, in Mazomanie, Wisconsin another man was seriously injured in a workplace accident as well. Friday 32-year-old, Nathan Plant was working on a piece of equipment at Cardinal Solar Technologies when his arm became trapped in the machinery. The equipment crushed Plant's left arm, and he was eventually freed by the local fire department when they arrived. Plant was transported to a nearby hospital, and OSHA is currently investigating the accident. To learn more, please click here.
