A 28-year-old former White Sox Pitcher, Daniel Webb, was killed in an ATV accident on Saturday night. He was released by the team after having Tommy John’s surgery. The accident is under investigation.

All-terrain vehicles, ATVs, are used very commonly in rural areas of the United States. These vehicles are often used for both work and recreational purposes. Farmers often use ATVs to assist with livestock, hauling, and traveling on their land. However, many people often use them for recreation and even sport. The design of the vehicle causes them to have a tendency to flip or rollover. Other factors that typically cause ATV accidents include operating the vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs, speeding, lack of experience, and unsafe road conditions. Individuals that are involved in ATV accidents often suffer serious injuries and even death.
