Honda has recalled around 634,000 Odyssey minivans six years after their first initial report of a problem with the van seating. The company reported that the second row of the van has issues of not locking into place after sliding forward into the normal position. The seat is designed to slide forward to allow passengers access to the third-row seating. Honda reported that they had 689 warranty claims for repairs but was not aware of injuries or crashes due to the problem. There have been complaints issued to N.H.T.S.A. that injuries were sustained due to this problem. Honda reported that they initially could not figure the issue out, so they monitored the field for any related incident.
