Honda Recalls Additional Vehicles for Air Bag Issue

|

The Honda Motor Co. recalls an additional 772,000 Honda and Acura vehicles in the U.S. due to defective front passenger seat air bag inflators which can explode in a crash and send metal shrapnel into passenger compartments. The inflators are made by Takata Corp., a Japanese supplier. This is an expanded recall from Honda which affects 1.29 million vehicles, including those affected by earlier recalls. There are six different vehicles that are involved in the recall. However, there no recalls being announced in other regions as of now.

Each year thousands of consumers are injured due to faulty or defective products. Product liability laws were put in place to help protect consumers from these products. Recalled products can range from children’s toys, electronics, food products, and vehicles. Basically, anything you purchase can be recalled. It is important to follow the recall guidelines that are given by the company. If you notice an issue or are injured by a product that has not been recalled, it is important to alert the company of these problems. It is also important to contact a reputable product liability attorney. An attorney can assist with any questions and concerns you have as well as investigate your injuries. They can determine if you have grounds to pursue compensation for your injuries from the company in question.
