Missouri Driver Arrested After Head-on Collision With Motorcyclists

|

A Missouri couple was killed Sunday afternoon after a pickup truck struck their motorcycle. The Missouri Highway Patrol says they believe the man who hit the motorcyclists was under the influence. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the victims were a Farmington couple, a 58-years-old male, and a 60-year-old female. The crash occurred in northern Bollinger County, about two miles west of the Patton area. Authorities say at approximately 3:30 p.m. a 49-year-old driver of an eastbound Dodge Ram pickup crossed the centerline and struck the westbound couple head on. Troopers say the couple died at the scene of the crash, and both were wearing helmets. The pickup truck driver was not injured. The 49-year-old driver was taken into police custody and charged with two counts of felony involuntary manslaughter.
