A 5-year-old California girl who lost her grandmother and sister in a tragic auto accident has been released from the hospital. The little girl suffered a concussion caused by the deadly DUI crash last week. She was released from Rady Children’s Hospital on Saturday, according to officials.
The September 10th DUI crash claimed the lives of her 64-year-old grandmother and 2-year-old sister. Her mother was also injured but is recovering. According to police reports, a suspected drunk driver rear-ended their vehicle with great force on Interstate 15. The crash happened near Scripps Poway Parkway and Mercy Road. According to California Highway Patrol officers, the suspect fled the scene of the crash but was later arrested. A tow truck driver contacted police after he towed his car from a location near the crash scene. The suspect is a 31-year-old man who has been charged with first-degree murder.
