Another Lawsuit Against Johnson and Johnson In St. Louis

|

St. Louis will be the location for a trial once again to determine if Johnson and Johnson is responsible for causing cancer in another plaintiff. The lawsuit alleges that a woman’s use of talcum powder caused her cancer. Attorneys for a Modesto, California, woman claims she developed ovarian cancer in 2012 after years of use of Johnson and Johnson’s talcum powder. Johnson & Johnson is accused of negligent conduct in making and marketing its baby powder, according to her lawsuit.

This past year, two lawsuits ended in jury verdicts worth $127 million in St. Louis. But that doesn’t mean a win is a given for this new plaintiff. Two other lawsuits alleging the same against the company lost when a judge threw out the case, saying there wasn’t reliable evidence that their talc use led to ovarian cancer. Over 2,000 women have sued Johnson and Johnson and attorneys are reviewing thousands more.

Women are winning these lawsuits because of product liability laws that have been set into place. If you have developed cancer after use of Johnson and Johnson personal care items, please call St. Louis’ best product liability attorneys at Meyerkord & Kurth, LLC.
