|

A dangerous product recall has been issued for almost 2.8 million units of craft paints due to the risk of exposure to harmful bacteria. The company, Sargent Art, issued the recall on October 4, 2016, for 13 types of arts and crafts tempera and finger paints. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the paints are sold nationwide at Amazon.com, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart as well as on their company website.

Sargent Art states that the affected bottles were manufactured between May of 2015 and June of 2016. For a complete list of the colors and sizes of paints affected by the recall, visit cpcs.gov. The paints may contain a harmful bacteria and exposure to it can have adverse health effects on those with deficient immune systems. Sargent Art urges anyone with the recalled paints to contact the company for a full refund or return it to the place of purchase. Sargent Art is available for any questions or concerns during normal business hours.
