San Diego Construction Worker Dies From Fall

|

A construction worker is dead after a tragic construction site accident in San Diego. The San Diego County Medical Examiner's office said the 38-year-old man died from injuries from a two-story fall in Chula Vista. The accident occurred just a day before Thanksgiving on the 4000 block of Fifth Avenue. Officials say the worker fell off a building where he was installing telecommunication lines on the roof of a business. A witness saw the man fall from the roof and police estimate it was over 30 to 35 feet. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and transported him to Scripps Mercy Hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. The victim was later identified as a resident of Corona, California and married. The work accident is still under investigation, and it is unclear if the Federal agency will investigate as well.
