Former Missouri Lawmaker Accused of Road Rage

|

A former Missouri lawmaker has been accused of road rage after an auto accident. The 67-year-old Northwoods man was involved in a road rage incident when he allegedly pulled a gun and assaulted a man during an accident on February 23 in Maplewood, Missouri. Authorities report a driver of a pickup truck merged in front of the former lawmaker’s BMW in a construction zone. The 67-year-old man positioned his BMW back in front of the pickup truck and then allegedly slammed his brakes twice, causing a collision. Police report that the 67-year-old man then walked to the pickup truck with a handgun. He then allegedly assaulted the man, hitting him in the head with his gun. The gun discharged during the assault, and a bullet shot through the roof of the pickup truck.

If you have been the victim of a violent attack, unfortunately, you cannot rely on the court system to provide justice for the injuries and damages you have suffered. You may not receive the compensation you are owed, without taking legal action. Even if the individual who attacked you is sent to jail or prison, restitution to the victims is not always the result of the criminal process. If your injuries from the assault have resulted in medical expenses, lost wages, and mental distress, you need a skilled and experienced attorney to fight for your fair restitution. Call Meyerkord & Kurth, today and get the support you deserve from the best St. Louis personal injury attorneys.
