Drunk Driver Travels With Tree Lodged in Car

A drunk driver was operating his vehicle with a tree lodged into his vehicle in Illinois. An Illinois police department is receiving much attention after they posted a picture on Facebook of a tree lodged into a car. This picture of 15-foot tree lodged in a Lincoln car going the wrong way on a street has been used by the Illinois police department as an example of drunk driving. Roselle Police Department stated that they arrested the driver of this vehicle late in January and the driver was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. The post has received more than 20,000 shares. The police department intended for the picture to show the stupidity of drinking and driving.

This situation ended in a DUI and a funny post. However, many drunk driving accidents end with a tragic loss. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there was an increase in 2015 for drunk driving. The NHTA also reports that one-third of all fatal car crashes involves drunk driving.
