Eight Auto Accident Fatalities Occurred Over the Holiday Weekend

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, eight people died from auto accidents on Missouri Roadways over the Memorial Day weekend. Police report they responded to approximately 347 auto accidents that resulted in eight deaths with an additional 128 people treated for injuries. Missouri Highway Patrol Troopers reported 135 arrests for people driving while intoxicated, which has increased from last year’s 105 arrests.
