Pregnant Woman Killed in Crash, Baby Survives

On Sunday night, a serious auto accident in Kansas involved multiple injuries and resulted in the death of a pregnant woman. The accident happened in Overland Park at around 7 p.m., and the collision occurred on West 75th Street and Metcalf. According to police, eight individuals were involved in the accident and six were transported by ambulances to hospitals. The extent of their injuries is unknown. Tragically, a 39-week pregnant woman died as a result of her injuries and miraculously, doctors were successful in delivering her baby and it is doing well. Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
