Police Search for Driver of Fatal Hit and Run Accident

|

Police in St. Louis are searching for the driver responsible for a deadly hit and run accident. On Friday, a 23-year-old woman was attempting to cross Natural Bridge when she was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, a red Montecarlo, was fleeing police when they attempted to stop him for a traffic violation. Tragically, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident and investigators are encouraging anyone with knowledge to the driver’s whereabouts to contact authorities.

Traffic laws require all drivers that have been involved in an auto accident to remain at the scene of the crash to provide the other individuals involved, and the authorities, their personal information and proof of auto insurance.
