30 Injured in Connecticut Bus Accident


On Monday afternoon, more than 30 people were injured in a bus accident that happened in Connecticut. According to the Connecticut State Police, a charter bus on Interstate 100 in Madison at around 12:30 p.m. The bus was en route to the Mohegan Sun Casino from New York transporting approximately 70 passengers. The injured individuals were taken to area hospitals by ambulances and the extent of the injuries range from cuts and bruises to broken bones. I-100 was closed for several hours while emergency crews evacuated the passengers and cleared debris. Authorities believe that the weather was a factor in the crash due to a snowstorm that was happening on Monday.
