Country Music Singer Surprises Motorcycle Accident Victim

|

Country music star Blake Shelton has surprised two fans after they missed his show due to a serious motorcycle accident back in September. A young man had surprised his girlfriend with tickets to the show but was seriously injured when a car pulled out in front of the motorcycle he was driving, causing his car into a telephone pole. The victim suffered two collapsed and one punctured lung, lacerated liver, kidney, and spleen. He also fractured ribs, shoulder blades, and vertebrae in his neck. Blake Shelton surprised the couple with a video wishing the victim a speedy recovery, tickets to any show and a friendly reminder that motorcycles are dangerous.

At least 88,000 motorcyclists are injured each year due to accidents. Sadly, most vehicle-motorcycle accidents are due to the fact that the vehicle driver doesn’t see the motorcycle. This usually happens due to vehicle drivers pulling out from a side street or making a turn into the path of the motorcycle. Many motorcycle groups stress the fact of checking for oncoming motorcycles by looking twice before making any turns or lane merges. They also suggest wearing bright colors so they can be easily visible to other motorists. Anyone that sustains injuries in motorcycle accidents should contact a personal injury attorney immediately. An attorney can establish necessary resources to help defend your case and get the care and compensation you deserve.
