Ten Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident

Ten people were injured on a Memphis road after a nine vehicle crash occurred on the morning of April 11. The pile-up occurred on Riverdale Road near Holmes Road in Memphis. Shelby County Sheriff's Office reported a flatbed tractor-trailer caused the crash after slamming into a car at a stoplight on Riverdale Road. The tractor-trailer was moving at such a speed that it slammed into the first car causing 7 other cars in line to be damaged. Ten people were taken to a hospital to receive medical treatment for their injuries. One of the ten people suffered severe injuries and is in critical condition. One witness claims the tractor-trailer was speeding and could not stop in time. The crash is still under investigation. The driver has not yet been charged.
