Pedestrian Struck and Killed By Vehicle

In York County, Virginia a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle and died due to the injuries suffered. The accident occurred early Sunday morning on Hampton Highway. The pedestrian was 28 years old when she was crossing near Victory Boulevard. The pedestrian was then struck by a 2002 Chevrolet Impala. She was immediately taken to the Riverside Regional Medical Center where she subsequently died due to the injuries suffered.

The police spokeswoman has stated that the pedestrian may have been intoxicated at the time of the accident. The driver of the vehicle has not been charged with any crime.
