Head-On Auto Accident Occurs During Rush Hour

On Thursday evening, commuters traveling west of St. Louis had a longer rush hour than usual due to a head-on auto accident. The accident occurred around 4 p.m. on Highway K near Interstate 64 in O’Fallon, Missouri. According to authorities, an SUV and a sedan collided head-on seriously injuring both drivers. One of the drivers was transported to the hospital by an Arch Medical Helicopter, and the other was transported by ambulance. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and the condition of the drivers is unknown. Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash.
