The bus struck a pedestrian and then collided with several vehicles and scaffoldings near a construction site. 20 individuals were transported to local hospitals and authorities stated that 6 of those injured were listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The police are investigating the accident to determine the cause and are investigating the possibility of DUI.

Bus accidents do not occur as frequently as auto accidents involving passenger vehicles due to there being more passenger vehicles on the roadways. However, when a bus accident does happen the number of injuries and fatalities are greater because buses can transport several passengers. Like all auto accidents, bus accidents can be caused by dangerous roadways, mechanical defects, and reckless driving. All auto accidents should be thoroughly investigated to determine who is liable and how to recover compensation for damages.
