Wisconsin Woman Killed in Crash With Semi

|

Highway 11 in Plymouth, Wisconsin was closed for 11 hours Monday afternoon following a fatal semi crash. In addition, the crash happened after a vehicle ran a stop sign and hit the side of a semi. The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 11 and County Road H when the man driving south on County Road H did not stop at the stop sign at the intersection.

As a result, the man struck the semi truck, which was headed east on Highway 11. After the crash, the car spun and came to rest facing west. The semi then jackknifed and stopped in a field at the southeast corner of the intersection facing north. A 41-year-old passenger in the vehicle was rushed to a nearby hospital where she later died. The tractor trailer driver suffered minor injuries and was treated and released. The male driver of the vehicle that ran the stop sign is still in the hospital being treated for internal injuries.
