Wisconsin Company Recalls Turkey and Chicken

As if it’s not bad enough that you have to worry about bacteria contamination in your food, now you also need to worry about cleaning products as well. In addition, AA Poultry Processing, LLC has recalled 2,100 or more pounds of chicken and turkey due to trichloro-s-triazinetrione contamination.

The Ridgeland, Wisconsin company, announced Thursday that the recalled food may be tainted with industrial disinfectant, which is not approved for use in poultry processing. The recalled product had the number P-45525 on it and was processed from May 4-May 11. FSIS personnel noticed the issue during routine testing, thus prompting the recall. So far, there have not been any reports of adverse reactions or injury related to the product.
