Sports car crashes into semi in Florida

Early Monday morning a luxury sports car smashed into a semi truck just a block from the Miami-Dade police department. In addition, 26-year-old, Jose Luis Martin hit the trailer of a truck, just as the semi was turning right onto 93rd Avenue. Likewise, Martin alleged his speedometer was stuck at 75 mph following the crash. Martin and his female passenger were injured in the crash, but are expected to survive.

Both were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Although Martin refused a Breathalyzer test at the scene of the accident, his blood was drawn at the hospital showing he was intoxicated. As a result, Martin was charged with DUI involving bodily injury. No word was given if the driver of the semi was injured in the crash.
