One killed in Phoenix semi crash

Semi crashes are statistically the most deadly on the road, even when such accidents occur between two trucks. Sadly, last Friday morning started out with a fatal crash involving two semi trucks in Phoenix, Arizona. Likewise, the crash happened at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Road when a semi headed eastbound collided with another semi headed northbound.

Tragically, one person was killed in the crash, and another was injured although refused medical attention. One of the semi trucks was from a produce company, and came to a rest on its side with contents of the vehicle spilt out on the roadway. The area was shut down for several hours while police conducted an investigation into the cause of the accident.
