|

Furthermore, the first major recall of the New Year is currently being lead by the recent news from Fiat Chrysler. Likewise, the motor vehicle manufacturer is currently recalling more than 702,000 minivans and SUV's due to faulty ignition switches, which can either move or switch off thus disabling safety features. The following models are affected in the recent recall:

  • Model Year 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, and Chrysler Town and Country minivans
  • Model Year 2009-2010 Dodge Journey SUV's

According to the manufacturer, certain road conditions such as a jarring events can greatly increase the incidence of the ignition switch moving to the off position, or turning the engine off as well. As a result of the ignition switch moving, the airbags, power steering, and power breaks will all become turned off posing safety hazards.
