Eight dead and several injured in Florida van accident

Sadly this morning in Glades County, Florida a horrific church van crash has left behind devastating results. In addition, the fatal crash happened on State Road 78, when the van, which was heading east, ran through a stop sign. Likewise, as the van continued traveling through four lanes of U.S. 27, it went through a concrete median, and came to a rest in a ditch that was partially filled with water.

As a result, eight people inside the van died, and 10 were injured. Of those killed and injured, all were adults with the exception of a 4-year-old child who was on board the van; he or she is currently in stable condition. Police believe that some of the people were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, and some not. The exact reason for the crash is unknown, and an investigation is pending.
