Three Injured in Five-Vehicle Washington Car Crash

In Federal Way, Washington three people were severely injured after a five-car pileup that happened Monday morning. Furthermore, the crash happened when a sports car was speeding on South 320th Street near Interstate 5. Involved in the crash was five cars, in which three of the drivers were severely injured.

One victim was a 35-year-old mother with her two children in the car. Both children were treated at the scene and then transported to a nearby hospital where their mother was. Two other unidentified people were hurt in the crash as well and suffered major injuries.

After a brief investigation, it was found that the sports car that caused the accident was traveling at a high rate of speed, and then crossed from the westbound to the eastbound lane. The car then collided with two other vehicles that were in the process of turning left from the I-5 off ramp.

As a result, the car then hit two more eastbound cars waiting at the intersection. The 42-year-old driver that caused the chaotic accident is now being investigated for possible criminal charges due to erratic driving and speeding. Police are currently investigating what caused the driver to speed and thus cause the crash.
