MO Man Charged in Drunken Car Crash

A Missouri man has been charged with causing afatal car crash that killed a father of two. The car crash happened when 53-year-old James Hughes began to drive the wrong way on Interstate 170 on January 10. Hughes was drunk at the time of the car crash and tested a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit.

As a result, Hughes hit 25-year-old, Collin Loveless, killing him instantly. At the time of the car accident, Loveless was on his way home after a party for a friend that was moving away. Sadly, he never made it home to his family.

Hughes has been charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter and driving with a revoked license. It was not reported whether or not Hughes had a car crash attorney.
