Golf Carts Recalled Due to Safety Issues

If you own an E-Z0Go or Yamaha golf cart, it may be part of a large product recall. Furthermore, the recall includes more than 10,000 carts overall, as well as personal transportation vehicles. The reason for the E-Z-Go product recall is due to the gas tank potentially leaking, thus causing a fire hazard. E-Z-Go is recalling nearly 8,200 carts and utility vehicles due to the fire hazard. In addition, E-Z-Go and Cushman dealers have sold the recalled carts between January and May throughout the nation. If you believe you have a recalled E-Z-Go cart, consumers should stop using them, and go to their dealer for a free repair.

Yamaha is recalling 2,000 carts due to the risk of injury or death. Yamaha’s recall is prompted due to the front wheel hubs that can crack, causing them to detach from the vehicle. Yamaha’s recall involved five 2015 and one 2016 model-year carts that were made from April to June. Thus far there have been no injuries related to either recall.
