Dog Food Recalled Due to Salmonella

|

If you buy Boulder Dog Food for your dog, you may want to check it. Furthermore, Boulder Dog Food Company, L.L.C, has recalled their Chicken Sprinkles dog treats due to salmonella contamination. The current product information included in the recall is as follows:

  • Chicken Sprinkles-best by 5/4/16
  • Lot number 998
  • UPC Code: 899883001231

The product is in a clear plastic bag, and the recall is due to routine sampling by the Colorado Department of Agriculture. Although humans obviously won’t consume the treats, that doesn’t mean the salmonella can’t be contracted to your family. Handling the treats can contaminate humans, thus making you sick. Pets that have salmonella infections may have diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Also, your pet may also have decreased appetite, fever, and abdominal pain. If you think your pet has consumed the recalled product, consult your veterinarian.

If a consumer product has harmed you or your pet, the skilled St. Louis personal injury attorneys at Meyerkord & Kurth can help. Please contact us today if you are in need of a product liability attorney.
