Two Boating Accidents Leave Passengers Injured Over the Weekend

Near Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey four people was injured Saturday on a large sport fishing boat accident. The boat named, Get Sum III had 13 people on board during the boating accident, and the cause for the crash is currently under investigation. Of the injured, one person was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital, and the remainder suffered head and neck injuries yet none was life threatening.

In an unrelated boating accident, a steering equipment malfunction caused a temporary loss of power on a party boat in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Furthermore, the boating accident happened Saturday, which left many of the passengers with minor injuries. Of the 159 people on board the boat during the crash, six people went to the hospital, and all were treated and released the same day. The boat crash happened when the ship lost steering capability and hit a pier that night. An investigation is pending.
