St. Louis Post Critic Dies in Car Crash

Sadly, Missouri has lost one of their beloved film critics for the St. Louis Post- Dispatch, Joe Williams. Furthermore, Williams was killed in a car crash Sunday night in Jefferson County on Highway 67. The car accident that killed Williams happened when he traveled too far left in his vehicle, over corrected his vehicles, and then struck a ditch.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, William’s vehicle flipped and landed resting on its roof. Although Williams was wearing a seat belt at the time of the car crash, he was killed instantly. Williams had joined the Post-Dispatch in 1997 and quickly became a feature writer, and then a film critic in 2000. He is remembered for his infectious love of movies.
