NY Man Killed by Car While Walking

Police are currently investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that killed a Newburgh, New York man. In addition, the pedestrian accident happened late Wednesday night on Rt. 17 near the entrance to the Air National Guard. The victim, 78-year-old, Thomas Taylor and was struck by a vehicle as she was walking across the road. The driver that killed Taylor was 25, and has not yet been identified.

Currently it is unknown where Taylor was headed or coming from when he was stuck by the vehicle. He was well known for walking in the area on a regular basis before the accident occurred, and he only lived a short distance from where he was killed. An investigation into the pedestrian crash is pending.
