Taking a Selfie While Driving Leads to Crash in Maine

Everyone knows that driving while distracted is not a good thing, but taking the ever-popular “selfie” while behind the wheel is a recipe for disaster. In Orient, Maine, 29-year-old, Jordan Toner decided to take a photo of himself with his phone while driving. As a result, Toner lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. His passengers ranging in ages from 28-35 all suffered several injuries from thecar crash.

Likewise, two women who were in the front seat of the car and not wearing seatbelts were seriously injured. One woman suffered a fractured nose with facial lacerations. The other woman suffered neck and back injuries. All of the other passengers suffered more minor injuries.
