Man Injured in Granite City Car Crash

One man from Granite City, Illinois is recovering from serious injuries sustained in a late night car crash. Furthermore, the car crash happened Thursday night near Nameoki and Iowa Roads when then 20-year-old was speeding. The man lost control and smashed into a building and struck a car parked at a nearby grocery store across the street.

After the driver hit the parked car, it briefly went airborne and continued until it hit the side of a vacant building. While the car was still moving the driver was thrown from the vehicle. Tragically the driver then landed in the middle of Nameoki Road. Luckily no people were inside the vehicle he hit in the parking lot, and no one else was injured. Police are currently investigating the cause of the car crash.
