Wednesday morning on the South Florida Turnpike was a mess following a massive, six-vehicle pile up. Furthermore, the crash involved a semi, and five other vehicles. Likewise, the accident happened when a wheelbarrow ejected from a northbound truck, and caused several vehicles to swerve to avoid hitting it. As a result, the semi driver lost control causing the truck to flip on its side, and thus several other cars smashed into it.
Of the injured, two were taken to a nearby hospital, and one of them is currently in critical condition. Another person involved in the accident had to be extracted from their vehicle. All lanes were closed before exit 25/Southwest Eighth Street, yet the northbound lanes were open but with delays. To learn more about this developing story, please click here.
