A Jet Ski accident has claimed the life of a 21-year-old man. The accident happened on Sunday morning at Banana Bend Marina in Houston, Texas. Authorities were called to the marina around 11:30 a.m. after the driver of the Jet Ski lost control and collided with some swimmers. Several family members and friends had gathered to celebrate the holiday on the marina when the tragic accident took place.
Two individuals were riding on a jet ski and pulling two individuals on a tube behind them. Another person was driving a separate watercraft while attempting to approach the others in the water when he the lost power or the Jet Ski stalled causing the driver to have no control over the steering. The driver struck the two men on the tube. One man was uninjured but unfortunately, the 21-year-old man was knocked out of his life jacket and drowned in the water. Currently, there have been no citations issued and it is unclear if alcohol was involved.
