Former Tennessee Football Player Killed in Car Accident

Tragically a former Tennessee linebacker was killed Sunday morning in a fatal one-vehiclecar accident. Furthermore, the car crash that killed Daniel Brooks happened in Clinton on North Charles Sevier’s Boulevard early in the morning when his vehicle flipped several times after hitting a driveway. Brooks died at the scene.In addition, Brooks was originally from Jackson, and was a highly anticipated athlete coming out of Jackson Central-Merry high school. During the 2003 and 2004 Vols season, unfortunately Brooks did not have much of a large role playing football. Shortly thereafter Brooks was dismissed from the team and finished his career at Jackson State in Mississippi.At the time of his death, Brooks was only 31-years-old.
