Schreiber Processing Corp has recalled around 2,330 pounds of
chicken tender products due to possible plastic contamination and misbranding. The product
that is affected is a 10-pound box of Meal Mart Battered & Breaded
Chicken Breast Tenders that is coded 03-CTB with production code 0246.
These were produced on December 8 and packaged on December 9 and sent
to retail locations in Washington, New York, and New Jersey. The U.S.
Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service were
alerted from a consumer complaint, and there haven’t been any confirmed
reports of injury or illness. The company urges consumers to throw away
or return the affected product.
