Student Falls 55 Feet Behind High School

A 15-year-old boy fell down a ravine behind the lower parking of Oakville
High School yesterday afternoon. What the student thought would be fun,
turned into a serious
accident. According to the Mehlville Fire Protection Chief, the boy fell over 50
feet down the ravine and had to be rescued by first responders. Officials
said the teen lost his footing and took a hard fall down the cliff, sustaining
serious injuries but no broken bones. The boy was not able to make his
way back up the hillside and need emergency rescue. A crew carried the
boy out on a stretcher using ropes and harnesses. Mehlville School District
officials responded by saying the hillside is not school district property,
and the boy was not there for a school sponsored activity. The fire chief
did make it a point to say the group of teens was not there playing Pokémon
