St. Louis Crash Kills Man, Injures Baby

A multiple vehicle accident kills a St. Louis man and injures two teenagers and a baby. The auto accident occurred last night around 10:30 p.m. on Chouteau near South Jefferson. According to St. Louis City police, an unnamed driver of a Ford Edge ran a red light on Chouteau Street and collided with a vehicle driven by a 39-year-old man. The Ford Edge was turned over and collided with another vehicle on South Jefferson, a southbound Honda Odyssey. Witness say, the driver of the Ford Edge ran from the scene of the crash. Tragically, the 39-year-old man died from injuries sustained in the crash. Passengers of the Ford Edge included an 18-year-old, a 16-year-old and a 1-year-old baby and were taken to the hospital to receive medical treatment. Their medical status is unknown. The driver of the Honda Odyssey was not injured. Police have taken a suspect into custody.
