ATV Accident Kills Two

Officers responded to a 911 call regarding an ATV accident during the early hours on Sunday. The accident happened at 12:49 a.m. in West Milford, New Jersey. According to West Milford Police, 47-year-old Steven F. Struble and Valerie E. Sheerer were traveling on a Polaris Sportsman 800 ATV when the vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with a tree. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Several details regarding the crash are unknown, as well as which individual was operating the ATV. Authorities are investigating the accident and are encouraging anyone with information about the accident to contact police.

All-terrain vehicles, also known as ATVs, are often used for recreational purposes and are not handled with an appropriate level of care. Driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, aggressive driving, and inexperienced driving are the most common causes of ATV accidents. While they are the most common, other factors can also be to blame such as dangerous roadways, vehicle design flaws, and mechanical defects. If you or a loved one has been injured in an ATV accident, it is imperative to consult an experienced St. Louis ATV accident attorney to determine if you have grounds to file a case.
