Sadly, just before the New Year, a worker has died while on the job at the Ford plant in Claycomo, Missouri. Likewise, the worker who was killed was a millworker, which was working out of town from Illinois, and was part of the retooling portion of the plant, which was slowed down for the holiday and changeovers. When the tragic accident happened, the victim was working on the F-150 retooling decker that places the body of the truck on the frame before it's moved to the main line. While the worker was working on this portion of the line, the safety rod broke, and the decker subsequently crushed the victim. Horribly, this is not the first time the machine had broken, and workers say they were always worried something as tragic as this would happen as a result of the faulty piece of equipment.
