Semi driver killed in crash

Sadly, a man was killed in what could've been a preventable semi accident due to slick weather in Boone County, Indiana. The fatal accident happened on I-65 when 47-year-old, Carlos Partida was driving a semi and hauling two trailers. Partida's second trailer hit a guardrail and became dethatched which blocked two lanes. As a result, Partida exited his semi to assess the situation, and was tragically stuck by another semi, which was trying to avoid hitting the trailer in the middle of the roadway. Partida died at the scene from his injuries. In addition, that accident caused another crash in which two other semi trucks collided, and another vehicle hit the detached trailer. All other drivers and passengers involved in the chain-reaction crash suffered only minor injuries.
