One dead in small plane crash in Los Angeles

One person has died following a small plane crash, which happened Friday, just south of Van Nuys Airport near Los Angeles. Furthermore, the plane started experiencing difficulty shortly after takeoff and crashed around 1:15 p.m. onto the street at an intersection. As a result, the plane came to rest up against a curb with one of its wings wrapped around a traffic signal. The impact was so fierce, the cockpit, and roof was all entirely crushed beyond recognition. Witnesses that heard the plane crash described it as a loud boom, and onlookers saw it spiraling out of control before it hit the ground. The only person on board the plane was the pilot, who was killed instantly upon impact. The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating to cause.
